I have had the honor to serve as a member of the Davidson Town Board since December 2017, and (if re-elected) I believe I can continue play an important role on the next Board. While our Town Board has lacked racial diversity for a number of years, I believe that I contribute to the diversity of our elected officials – as a woman and a member of the LGBTQ community.
My top issues for Davidson are:
- Preserving existing and creating more affordable housing across our community
- Implementing the (future) recommendations of our Pedestrian Safety Task Force
- Affirming the dignity and equality of all persons in our community.
- Working with the owner and developers on a plan for commercial space on our historic Main Street
- Providing oversight to our ongoing Public Facilities renovation and construction projects
- Finding a safe and equitable long-term solution for the Linden Mill (former asbestos plant)
- Balancing the pressures of development and the historic character of our town
- Developing plans for the remainder of the 251 South Street property
